Yakuh Askew, AIA, LEED A.P.

A San Francisco native and principal of Y.A. studio since 2003, Yakuh Askew earned his Bachelor or Architecture degree from California Polytechic, San Luis Obispo, California, which included an academic year in Florence, Italy.

Begining his professional careeer with STUDIOS Architecture, Yakuh worked on large scale office developments for 3Com in Santa Clara, the Milpitas City Hall, and the 1.2 million square foot, Foundry Square in San Francisco's SOMA district. He went on to spend several years with CCS Architecture working on the design of restaurants in San Francisco, San Jose, Tahoe, and Baltimore, as well as several private residences in the Cole Valley and Buena Vista neighborhoods of San Francisco.

At Y.A. studio, Yakuh built a design team that has proven itself designing restaurants, single-family residences, multi-family residences, offices, warehouses, medical facilities , and consulted on an 88-unit residential developement, an exhibit at the Californian Academy of Sciences and over 200 other projects throughout the Bay Area.
