OUR STUDIO

Y.A. studio is an architectural design studio committed to bringing an innovative and modern approach to design. Our practice is collaborative, supportive, and dedicated to developing skilled professionals who continue to improve our built environment and elevate our social discourse. We strive to understand the clients’ needs and nurture a vision that integrates sustainable practices, well crafted details, and holistic designs. We engage the community, support the environment, respect budgets and schedules, enjoy challenges, and craft solutions that often exceed client expectations. We embrace a diverse portfolio that includes custom single family homes, affordable housing, large multi-family developments, restaurants, office and retail spaces. We are thoughtful, creative, experienced, engaging, socially responsible and environmental stewards.

Y.A. studio provides full Architectural and Interior Design services from conception to completion, including feasibility studies, site design, permit documents, construction documents, construction administration, and FF&E.

Martine Paquin, LEED AP, Partner and Director of Interiors at Y.A. studio, is also Principal and Owner of Martine Paquin Design, which provides a focused and specialized service for high-end custom residential Interior Architecture and Interior Design. This dual role allows for an approach that is tailored to our clients’ needs.

Completion of Potrero Hill Block X – 73 units of affordable family housing
Completion of Transbay Block 8 – 653 units of housing with 177 affordable housing units

Started Mission Bay Block 9, factory-built modular housing for 141 formerly homeless individuals
